The Possum Hollow Sewerage System project came together through the combined effort of many entities. The Limerick Township Municipal Authority financed and constructed the project. Exelon Corporation, headquartered in Kennett Square, contributed land and funds for the construction of the system in return for sewer system service to the Limerick Generating Station. A private developer provided additional funds.

Gilmore & Associates, Inc. provided the planning studies, design, permitting, on-site construction observation and administration and start-up services for this $10+ million construction project. The project included a 0.7 MGD treatment plant utilizing the AeroMod treatment process, two (2) triplex pump stations and over five (5) miles of interceptor sewer. Approximately 60 easements were surveyed and acquired. The treatment plant was designed and built to be expandable to 1.0 MGD.
